Hey everyone!  How are you?

This week was a long one for me, I worked six days as you can see from the above - so I'm happy it's the weekend - and it's sunny here!  Yay!

Next weekend my sister and her husband are coming down and we are going to U2 and then the following Monday I am going to Toronto for two weeks for work, so I am enjoying having a no-plan Sunday.  Friday night I had my hair done, then yesterday I went to hot yoga, followed by a bit of shopping and a movie with T.  We met up with a friend for dinner afterwards and he ended up inviting more people to join us and they wanted to party so the night was much longer and more social than I had expected.  I wanted to go home at 9!  But it ended up being much later than that ... as a classic introvert I find many social situations to be exhausting and need to mentally prepare myself in advance for group gatherings.  I wasn't able to do that last night so it was a tough one.

In happier news, let's talk shopping!  I told you last week that I ordered a black pleated midi skirt from Dynamite to replace my J.Crew Factory one and I'm happy to say it's a keeper!  I had to exchange the size small I ordered for an XS but I was able to do that in-store yesterday.  I also had to exchange this cute white collarless cropped blazer for an XS and now it fits perfectly.  A white blazer is a great completer piece, especially in Spring and Summer.  You can see a few ways I wore my old H&M linen one here, here and here.  Sadly I didn't do a good enough job keeping that one clean and it started to look a bit dingy this year so it had to go.  But I think the Dynamite one is a good replacement and I like that the shape is a bit different than any other blazers I own.  If you are looking for a classic white blazer, Old Navy has two good options this year.  I tried on this one, but the smallest size was too big for me.  This one was sold out in XS online, but I saw it in-store yesterday in white and it looks really cute.  I also ordered this top from Dynamite and liked it so much I already wore it!

I ordered two midi skirts from Forever 21 that I Insta-storied about a week or so ago but am going to return them.  Don't get me wrong, they are really cute and I could definitely see myself wearing them, but I tried them on with a few different tops and could really only see myself wearing them one or two ways each.  I decided to be responsible and return them so I can save room in my closet (and bank account) for items I love more.  Like this adorable striped one-piece from J.Crew!!  Since last summer, a striped one-piece has been on my wishlist.  It is just so cute and classic.  I ordered this one from J.Crew Factory but the fit was off, so I have high hopes for this one!  I have a feeling it's going to be perfect :)

  2. What an adult thing to return those midi skirts! I don't think I would have been able to do that since I loooove midi skirts and I have no self-control haha I love your dresses with the tie waists...they look so comfy and professional!
