About

Hi, I'm Jules!

Well, I'm Julia but all my friends call me Jules. I'm 5'3" but I wear flats almost all the time
... hence ...

Welcome to my personal style blog! What you see me wearing here is what I really wear on a daily basis. I don't "dress up" for blog photos, I don't wear lipstick because it looks great in photos and then take it off afterwards because I don't like the way it feels on my lips, I don't change into heels for blog photos because it makes the outfit better and then change into flats after. Yes, these are things that some bloggers engage in, and I find it a bit misleading and almost like false advertising. So I just want to be clear: what you see me wear on my blog is what I would look like if you met me in person. Most of the outfits I show is what I wear to work, where the environment is 'business casual' / 'creative professional'. You will rarely see what I wear on non-work days, which is almost always jeans, except in the summer when I like to wear skirts or dresses.

The main reason for starting this blog is to document my daily outfits, but I also wanted to show that you don't need to wear heels to look good. I read a lot of blogs and magazines and so often the images are of women in sky high heels that are not practical for my daily life, nor a lot of other women out there! I personally find most heels uncomfortable and hard to walk in, and flats are just more my style. So, that's me.
I hope you enjoy your stay!

  1. Hi,
I just stumbled upon your blog after doing a Google search for the Old Navy Camp Shirts and I'm so glad that I found it! I too am 5'3'' and wear flats just about every single day so I think that your outfit post will provide daily inspiration for me. I love that your outfits are stylish yet practical. A lot of blogs out there feature crazy & unrealistic outfits (to me at least).

Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more posts!

  8. Hi Jules! I live in Argentina and I found your blog through Pinterest, while searching for "Business Casual outfits" that I could actually wear. I love what you do and although I cannot really buy the same clothes, you really do help me get inspired and put an outfit together with what I already have in my closet and create something that makes sense and looks good. Thanks! Gracias!

  10. Hi! Just found your blog via Pinterest. Super cute choices! I have some of the same tops (like the tie-waist dark floral tunic from Dynamite - cute piece! I paired mine with some moto leggings from F21). I always love cute fashion ideas, esp ones that are work-appropriate!

  23. Hey! I've been following your blog for a while and I am in love. It is affordable, practical and good looking. I am 153cm and for the most of my adulthood life (I'm 24) been wearing very high heels. But really, they are not practical nor good for my feet and back health. And from all the people I am the only one who makes a big deal out of my height, most people do not care anyway. So thank you for inspiration :)
p.s. it would be very cool if you added your commuting outfits to your instagram highlights

  24. Hi Jules!!! I have been following your Pinterest boards for awhile now! Your style is my style completely! I love how you use REAL clothes that are actually affordable and attainable. I will admit, I wear a good number of outfits inspired by YOU! My real reason for stopping by is to congratulate you on your pregnancy! I saw your rust color dress pop up on my Pinterest feed and immediately got excited! I loved being pregnant and being a mom is amazing. Congratulations to you and your family!
