Dress by Old Navy (old, similar)
Scarf by Old Navy (old, similar)
Hi everyone! How was your week? Mine was good. I found some red ribbon and did my hair in a ponytail with a bow like I mentioned last week (see here) for our Christmas party and it was a hit! I felt very festive and am considering a similar hairstyle for Christmas dinner :)
We watched The Voice finale (will Blake ever lose?!), the Survivor finale (so good - and a tearjerker!), T and I each had another holiday party to go to solo, and on the weekend we watched A Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, and went out to see the new Star Wars movie, Rogue One (so good!).
As the Vancouver "Snowmagedden" saga continued, I also continued to wear my thickest and coziest knits. On Sunday I work the above cream turtleneck with jeans and the red scarf for a fun casual look to see Rogue One. I know it's not really the time of year for it, but I have been doing some shopping for myself. I didn't do any at Black Friday, or really at all in November, and our family does Secret Santa so I only have to buy one present (other than for T). What can I say - I am taking advantage of the sales / sizes in stock and free shipping promos! I purchased this dress from Aritzia at an unheard of 50% off. It's a timeless style (I have it in another print - see here) that will look great in winter with tights and black shoes or boots, and also with bare legs and a nude shoe in the spring and summer. My beloved Bazovia loafers from Aldo were also 50% off in a nude and cognac colour. Nude flats go with everything and my current pair are looking (and feeling) worse for wear after wearing them in a rainstorm in Toronto ... Also, after discussing the Sperry winter boots last week, I pulled the trigger on these ones from Native. Native is a local Vancouver company and two of my gal pals from work have the same pair. They are fleece-lined all the way through, and they should get here by Friday, in time for my trip to the snowy Okanagan. Fingers crossed!
This will be my last post before the holidays, although I will be back before the New Year for a look at what I'm wearing this week, as well as my Monthly Outfit Roundup for December. But wherever you are and whatever you are doing this holiday season, I hope you are filled with joy and love!!
My heartfelt thanks for following along with me,
