Hi everyone!
Like I predicted last week, it finally got cold enough to wear tights :( Not only that, but the boiler at work broke so we've been without heat for the past week! We do have space heaters that we can use at our desks, but normally I have my space heater on in addition to the gallery heat! LOL. On Friday I literally did not take off my winter coat all day.
On Friday night we went to Victoria to visit my cousins for Thanksgiving! We had made a reservation on the ferry for 8pm (on long weekends you NEED to make a ferry reservation or you will be waiting for hours/potentially not get on a ferry) and unfortunately traffic was really bad and we missed our reservation cut off time by 4 minutes! Sometimes you can still get on the ferry even if you miss the cut off but because it was so busy we missed the 8pm ferry and got on the 9 instead. It was a long day to say the least!

Hi everyone, happy October!
This weekend we went to the Okanagan to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday! It was really fun but I drank way too much and was super hungover the next day for our 5 hour drive back to the city! Not only that but the highway we take is very winding, and we left later than we were supposed to so Tony was speeding because we had to meet friends from out of town for dinner back in Vancouver! Luckily I gradually felt better as the drive went on (I was at my lowest before we left) and I was able to pull myself together and get ready for dinner while T drove.
The weather was so beautiful in the Okanagan and all of the trees changing colour on the drive there and back was just so pretty. On Saturday before the party we went to the Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Winery with our niece and met my cousin and her wife there. We bought a couple of different types of garlic and Tony is going to plant some in our garden! We also bought some garlic cheese curds which Tony is going to use in a poutine. (Poutine and chicken wings are his two favourite foods :)). We sat outside and had some lunch from the Wienery food truck, and of course sampled some of Hester Creek's delicious wine.
