Hi everyone, happy October!
This weekend we went to the Okanagan to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday! It was really fun but I drank way too much and was super hungover the next day for our 5 hour drive back to the city! Not only that but the highway we take is very winding, and we left later than we were supposed to so Tony was speeding because we had to meet friends from out of town for dinner back in Vancouver! Luckily I gradually felt better as the drive went on (I was at my lowest before we left) and I was able to pull myself together and get ready for dinner while T drove.
The weather was so beautiful in the Okanagan and all of the trees changing colour on the drive there and back was just so pretty. On Saturday before the party we went to the Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Winery with our niece and met my cousin and her wife there. We bought a couple of different types of garlic and Tony is going to plant some in our garden! We also bought some garlic cheese curds which Tony is going to use in a poutine. (Poutine and chicken wings are his two favourite foods :)). We sat outside and had some lunch from the Wienery food truck, and of course sampled some of Hester Creek's delicious wine.
This is a new dress from Zara. It's a knit fabric so it feels a bit warmer than wearing a polyester or rayon dress. I like the darker tones for fall/winter. I'm wearing the S.

I got this striped peplum top from J.Crew last year and while it's a bit stiff I think it's really cute. The pants are my usual Old Navy Pixie's but in an old colour which I really think they should bring back!

I am loving this new plaid mini skirt from H&M! Unfortunately this exact pattern is sold out, but it does come in other plaid variations. I am wearing the 6 and it fits perfectly.

I bought this shaker stitch sweater from Gap at the end of last season so it's no longer available, but I linked some similar ones for you below if you're interested. It's a bit more casual for work so if that doesn't work for you, you could easily wear it on the weekend instead.

Luckily the weather has been fairly mild, so I have been able to get away with bare legs still, but I think things may change next week!
Next weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving so we get a long weekend (Monday off) and Tony and I will be going to Victoria to visit two of my cousins, and some friends. I'm excited to see everyone and of course eat all of the yummy Thanksgiving food! My personal favourites are stuffing and gravy, and I'm also looking forward to pumpkin and apple pie for dessert :)
I hope you all have a great week and thank you so much for visiting!
xo JULES
