Hi everyone!

Thank you all SO much for your well wishes on my last post!  I am feeling better but still have some residual symptoms working their way out of my system.   Despite my cold, we had a great weekend and it was honestly so nice to go away for a night!  It only took us 2 hours door to door to get to the resort, which includes driving to and waiting for the ferry (you have to get there at least 30 before it departs) and a 40 minute ferry ride.  Not too bad for feeling like you're in a whole other world!

Anyways, we arrived at the resort around 2pm and immediately jumped in the hot tub for a soak.  Afterwards, I felt like a nap but we ended up hanging on the couch with the fireplace on and a movie on the TV while the rain came down outside.  Our dinner reservation was at 7:30 and I hadn't eaten since 11:30 or so, so we drove into town to get some snacks and brought them back to our room.  We made a little charcuterie platter, opened a bottle of wine and T taught me a new board game.  It was easy and fun and I won!  Haha!  Dinner was delicious, although the drive was a little treacherous!  It's a really narrow, winding road and it was pitch dark, windy, raining hard and there were pine needles and tree debris all over the road!

The next day we were so surprised that we woke up to sun!  We had appointments for massages at the spa and oh man, they were SO nice.  My masseuse gave me eucalyptus oil for my cold and had a heating pad for my feet/back while the other area was being treated.  Afterwards, you go into a steam shower and lather yourself with clay before rinsing it off.  THEN you can go and use the outdoor hot tub, saltwater pool and sauna.  We used the hot tub for a bit before heading back to our room to clean up and check out.  By that time we were starving so we grabbed lunch at the Grasshopper Pub which is up on a hill and has a great view of the ocean and the harbour.  After lunch it was time to head home!  I must have really rallied for the weekend because by the time we got home I was exhausted and spent the entirety of the next day on the couch!  I felt kind of bad because that was our actual anniversary day, but T didn't mind (and he was home too, which was nice :)).

Anyways, here's a look at what I wore to work this week.  Nothing new or revolutionary here, though I haven't worn that Joe Fresh cashmere sweater for a while!  I bought it a couple of winters ago, it was on sale for around $50 I believe which is a good price for cashmere!  It's available in grey for $45 right now but all the lilac ones I linked above are under $100 too!  You maybe can't tell but in the last outfit I'm wearing my OTK boots with black skinny jeans.  I did this last week on Friday too (didn't photo that outfit); it's a nice way of wearing OTK boots to work without being too obvious I think; plus it lets me change up my footwear while keeping my feet warm!  Unfortunately I've learned the hard way that they are not to be worn in the rain!  :(

This weekend we are having our niece and nephew over for a sleepover Saturday night while my sister and brother in law go to a birthday party!  They are great kids and really fun so I know we'll have a good time.  Other than that, no plans!  I went to hot yoga on Friday night, which was the first exercise I've done in over a week and it felt really good!  I've been really into hot yoga lately ... I think it's the weather!

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend, and thank you for reading!
