We spent last weekend at our apartment doing projects like building our new closet (!!), painting the ceiling in our bedroom and painting the bathroom.  There is still a lot more to be done.  This week after work we are going to have to paint the bedroom walls, probably do another coat on the ceiling, and finish up the closets.  We are planning on moving back in not this weekend but the next!  The bathroom won't totally be finished by that time, but the toilet will be in and the shower will be functional.  But before that we have to move Airbnb's!  I know, I know and I don't even want to get into it - it has been very stressful!!

In lighter news, I got to have my hair cut and coloured this week!  And my brows done last Friday!  I did get a mani pedi two weekends ago but totally ruined my mani on the weekend doing projects.

My J.Crew Factory order finally arrived, I am wearing the Boho Beaded Statement Earrings in the last outfit above and LOVE the way they look.  However, my ears are sensitive and I had to take them out by 3pm.  They are a teensy bit on the heavy side too just FYI.  I outlined my order in this post and wore the rainbow stripe headband on Monday.  I love it!

My denim shorts from Aritzia arrived as well and I love both pairs!  BUT I do still want to wait for my Abercrombie order to come in so that I can compare.  I feel like the Abercrombie shorts are going to have longer inseams, which I think is trending this summer.  But what is Summer 2020 going to look like anyways?  Links to all the shorts I ordered are in this post!

Before ending this post I do want to acknowledge the very powerful Black Lives Matter uprising in the world and on social media last week.  If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that I did not post at all last week.  In my first post this week I said:

Like many white people with public profiles, I took last week off posting to allow for BIPOC voices to be heard...My silence this past week was not meant as compliance and I fully believe Black Lives Matter. I will continue sharing my daily outfits with you as that is what you come here for, but please me know if you want to hear more from me on this and other topics.

I am actually very proudly half Maori but enjoy privileges of a first world white woman.  My dad and his siblings were not so lucky, and his parents' generation was even worse off.  My mum's parents had some reservations about (and by that I mean bias against) their daughter marrying a Maori man.  So I have a tiny first-hand glimpse into the problem from that perspective but also acknowledge my immense privilege.

Thank you for being here.

xo JULES
