Jules in Flats - November Outfits

Jules in Flats - November Outfits

Hi everyone, welcome to November!  We're a week in already, but you get what I mean :) . Are you guys in the holiday spirit already?  I've been seeing on social a lot of gift guides and Christmas trees already and it's all too soon IMO!  I get it, I follow a lot of bloggers and they need to be creating content now, but we won't be putting up our tree until the first weekend in December, and I haven't even thought about gifts yet!

Jules in Flats - H&M Creped Dress (Business Casual Fall Workwear on a Budget)

I bought & wore this H&M dress last month, it's only $18!  You could definitely belt it for a more defined waist, and I'm sure I'll be wearing it with my Olivie sweater vest from Aritzia at some point this winter!  A blazer or long cardigan would also work with the dress, and would provide an extra layer of warmth :)

Jules in Flats - Old Navy Plaid Top with Knit Duster Vest (Business Casual Fall Workwear on a Budget)

This is a new top from Old Navy which sadly wrinkles easily as you can see, but it's cute for work if you have a semi-casual dress code like me (officially it's "Business Casual"), and also great for casual weekend wear.  You could even wear it with a blazer to make it more professional.  I tried to half-tuck it, as it's a little bit long, but it didn't quite work - just a heads up!  This top is on sale for $20 and comes in a darker colourway as well.  I'm wearing the XS.

Jules in Flats - Blaire Wrap Dress (Business Casual Fall Workwear on a Budget)

I have this dress in white already, and really only added this one to my cart to get free shipping!  But since I have it already in another colour, I knew it would fit well and a dark, long sleeved dress with a pattern is so versatile that I know I'll wear it a lot.  It's $55 regular price and I'm wearing the XS.

Jules in Flats - Oversized Plaid Blazer (Business Casual Fall Workwear on a Budget)

This is the oversized plaid blazer from Dynamite that I was telling you about last week!  What do we think?  I actually think it fits pretty well, it's not too oversized, it's just longer than a regular blazer, and slightly more straight-cut.  I don't love the clear buttons, I think they would be cuter in black or brown, but other than that, I think it's a keeper!  I got it on sale for $40 and am wearing the XS.

So the rest of my order from The Bay arrived and sadly none of the tops are keepers.  There's actually nothing wrong with any of them, they're fine, I just feel like I should only keep things that are LOVES, you know?  The other thing I ordered last week was a t-shirt from Dynamite, which again I added to my cart just to get free shipping with the blazer, and that I am going to return as well as it's a little big.

If you follow me on Insta Stories you'll know I ordered these VERY cute polka dot flats from J.Crew Factory, along with two headbands, one in black and one in leopard!  The flats were on major sale and I have to say I was influenced by my Insta followers to buy them!  LOL . I've also been wanting black and leopard headbands for awhile, and had this one and this one from Urban Outfitters in mind.  But Urban charges $10 for shipping, which seems silly when that's the same price as the actual item.  I kept waiting for a free shipping promo but it never came!

Next weekend my sister and her kids are coming to visit (her hubby is coming too, but he's going to be hanging out with a friend), and I'm flying to Toronto on Sunday morning for work.  This weekend we don't have any plans, which I am thankful for!  We may go to some bathroom showrooms to look at products for our upcoming bathroom reno, but that's about it!  I will probably finish the book I'm currently on, City of Girls (so good, highly recommend!), catch up on some blog reading, do some online shopping and watch a movie or two!

I hope you have a great weekend whatever you're up to, and thank you so much for visiting!!

xo JULES

  1. I really like the purple tights you added in the first outfit. I normally only add those with a great or black outfit, but it's so pretty with teal!
