Jules in Flats September Outfits (Business Casual Workwear on a Budget)

Hi everyone!  Happy September!

The weather was perfectly timed this week to usher in a new season - cooler, crisp mornings that definitely required a jacket, sunny afternoons and chilly evenings.  The leaves are turning and it's definitely starting to feel like fall!

I always feel like Labour Day is the last weekend of summer, and we had a perfect one this year.  We took Friday off to drive down to Seattle with two of our friends in our car packed with all of our camping gear.  We treated ourselves and spent the night in a hotel, the next day driving to the Gorge Campground.  My brother and sister in law met us there, we set up camp and then walked to the Amphitheater to watch Dave Matthews as the sun set.  The Gorge is my absolute favourite venue, it's just so beautiful and special.  T & I actually saw Dave Matthews there 13 years ago!  That was his first time at the Gorge and our first concert together (it was also in our first year of dating!).  So this was a really nostalgic and special trip.  I started crying when Dave began playing Stay or Leave - T and I connected over that song because it felt so relevant to the beginning or our relationship.  (When we started dating we were both going to school in Ontario, but I had already decided to move back to BC.  So we dated for a couple of months and then when I moved back to the Okanagan in the summer we decided to take a break.  We didn't want to put the pressure of a long-distance relationship on something so new.  But we talked all the time on the phone (and became really good friends in the process) and he made plans to come visit at the end of summer.  That end of summer trip was our first visit to the Gorge together, and after that trip we knew what we had was real.  He went back to Ontario to finish school and 6 months later moved in with me in my studio apartment in Vancouver.  The rest is history!)

All that to say, we had a great last weekend of summer and are ready to hunker down with work and life and welcome fall!

In case you missed it, we sold our apartment and are moving into a new apartment NEXT WEEKEND!!  Ahhh it doesn't really feel real yet because we were so busy this summer we haven't really had a chance to think about it or to do any packing!  Literally nothing is packed.  BUT we are starting this weekend and I think we are going to get a lot done.  Luckily we have 5 days in between moving and giving up our keys to the new owner, so that's good!

I (guess?) I did some shopping at Old Navy in the summer, so I had some Super Cash to use, which starts today!  This is perfect timing because I feel like I have nothing to wear.  I went a little crazy and hopefully I won't want to keep everything I bought, otherwise my bank account will not be happy!
I also took advantage of the Labour Day sale at J.Crew Factory and purchased a few things:
What are you guys buying for fall? I feel like I need some inspo!
