Jules in Flats July Outfits (Business Casual Summer Workwear on a Budget)

Hi everyone!  How are you?!

As usual, here's a look at what I wore to work last week.

It has been hot here, which used to be unusual for Vancouver, but every summer for the past 5 years we've had an increasing number of days in the high 20's'/early 30's (Celsius).  This spell is going to last for 2 weeks I think (we're already on the second week)!  Nobody here has air conditioning because historically, you didn't need it.  We have a portable air conditioner that friends gave us when we moved into our current apartment 6 years ago, and I'm so glad they did!  When we first moved in I think we only had about 1 straight week of hot weather and it was so great for that but I kind of questioned keeping it around as it takes up space in the storage locker during the winter and is kind of an eyesore, but it is so worth it!

In other very exciting news, we sold our place!!  We got the offer on Monday, went back and forth a few times on the price that day, showed it one last time on Wednesday night and closed on Thursday!  We are so happy and also excited that we can get back to living normally! LOL It's so strange trying to live in a place that's supposed to look like nobody lives there!

Of course now the next phase is finding somewhere else to live!  We don't have anything lined up yet, but we do have our eye on one place that we'll probably make an offer on this weekend or Monday.  Wish us luck!!

The wedding last weekend was amazing!  The weather and location were perfect, everyone looked gorgeous, the food was great, there was an open bar, we saw lots of people we haven't seen for awhile (some since high school!), and best of all the bride and groom were happy and surrounded by their friends and loved ones :) :) . I posted a couple of pics that include what I wore to my Instagram if you're interested!

This weekend we are going to head down to Kits Point to watch the fireworks, and on Sunday we are going to Brewery and the Beast!  This is an annual event that is also held in Calgary and Victoria.  We went for the first time 2 years ago and missed out on tickets last year, so we are happy to be going back tomorrow!  Hopefully the meat coma I will inevitably eat myself into will be gone by the time I have to go to work on Monday!

Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend and thank you for reading!
