Jules in Flats - April Outfits

Jules in Flats - April Outfits

Hi everyone!  Happy Weekend!  How was your week?

The weather here was really beautiful (note the bare legs!) and we definitely got a taste of summer with 2 days of +20!  Of course, now that the weekend is here, so is the rain!  I'm actually kind of glad it's raining, or at least I will be tomorrow because we are going to see the new Avengers movie at 3pm!  I kind of hate going to a matinee when it's sunny out, so this worked out perfectly!  Today, on the other hand ... I have some errands to run (isn't that always the way on the weekend?!) like picking up my winter coats from the drycleaners (and then finding somewhere to store them for the next 7 months :|) and getting a few groceries for the coming week.  We still don't have a kitchen so are eating 95% takeout, but I like to make myself breakfasts (oatmeal with berries and peanut butter), and it's good to have snacks around.

So I did kind of a large order from Gap last weekend!  I don't remember exactly what the sale was, but it was close to 50% off and included shoes, and I've been wanting to dry these d'orsay flats in the Buff colour, as well as these black leather espadrilles.  I also ordered this striped one-piece swimsuit that I talked about last week, this comfy-looking bralette, and these fun sunglasses in Crystal.  My favourite bralette is from Gap, it's super soft and is the one I always reach for after work and on the weekends.  The only problem is, it's too small!  So I hopefully this new one I ordered will be just as soft, but will fit better!

I also found two good jumpsuit options (I think!).  This one from Dynamite is a bit of a statement piece, and this one from Banana Republic is more classic.  Any thoughts?!  I haven't tried either of them on yet, so I don't even know they are going to work, and the Banana one is way too expensive so I need to wait for it to be reduced ... and then go on further sale!  LOL Speaking of Dynamite, I was at the mall this week returning my American Eagle items and I popped in to see if they had the jumpsuit.  They didn't, but I did see this dress which has been in my cart waiting for a sale.  To my surprise, the material is totally different than what I was expecting, and in a good way!  It's like a heavy cotton linen, so there's no need for a lining.  Once it goes on sale I'm definitely getting it!

Anyways, thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great week!

I just ordered a blue and white stripes jumpsuit from Nordstrom. I hope it fits so keeping my fingers crossed! How was the movie? Any good?
