Hi everyone!
As I mentioned last week, I lost the remote for my camera for about a week, which is why we've skipped from May Week 2 to 4!
I'm happy to show you the printed drapey pants from Old Navy I talked about here.  They are soft and silky, lightweight and comfortable.  I wish they came in plain black, too!
T and I went shopping at the YVR Outlets last week.  I don't have a ton of "needs" at the moment, but would like a pair of white skinny pants or jeans I can wear to work, and I am waiting for these Gap sandals to go on sale.  Combined with my new monthly 'personal spending' budget which includes shopping, I was a bit nervous I would want to buy a whole bunch of stuff I didn't need.  BUT good news, I only spent $110 and got 2 dresses from Banana Republic Factory for only $25 each(!!), and this sleeveless sweater and bracelet from J.Crew Factory.  I was seriously giddy about the Banana dresses.  Last time I went there I was really disappointed with the selection and quality, but this time it was really good!  I tried on a whole bunch of tops that would have been great for work, but they were all too low-cut on me.  I only found one of the dresses online (here) but I have already worn them both so you will see them here on the blog soon!  I really should Instagram my outfits more for you guys so that you don't have to wait so long for me to get my blogging butt in gear!
On the weekend my sister was in town to run the Scotiabank Half Marathon (she did great!) and we got to spend a few hours shopping together, which was so fun.  I love shopping with her!  I picked up 3 tops from H&M which were all under $20 and perfect for work and weekend.  I can't find them online but will wear & share (just thought of that gem!) soon!
*(Update - see one of the H&M tops here!)

Hi everyone!  I'm coming 'atcha at the end of a 3-day weekend (I talked about that here) but unfortunately am not feeling rested and ready for my 6-day work week starting tomorrow!  Probably shouldn't have drank so much wine last night...
Isn't it funny that I was less productive with 3 days off than I usually am with 2 or even 1?  Didn't get any laundry or grocery shopping done this weekend!!  LOL
Last night we went to visit our old neighbours at their new place - they moved a few months ago and we haven't seen them since!  We ordered pizza from the Firewood Cafe, drank lots of wine (see above ;)) and played board games late into the night.  It was really fun :)
Other than that we kept it pretty low-key; sleeping in, watching Kung Fu Panda 3, Jimmy Fallon and Game of Thrones.  I even got my weekly donut!

I really like all of the outfits shown here!  Is that totally narcissistic to say?
This skirt from J.Crew Factory I talked about here is finally making it's blog debut!  Isn't it pretty?  Confession: I just ordered it in black, too!

As always, thank you for reading!!

Hi everyone!  How are you?
I feel like the weekends have just been too short lately, do you feel the same way?  I have actually been working a lot and the last two weekends have literally been Sunday only.   But that's okay because next weekend will be three days!  Yay!

This denim jacket (40% off) from Gap and these printed drapey pants from Old Navy (on sale for $20.50) arrived in the mail and both are keepers (both purchased in XS).  The pants are really comfortable and border on slightly too casual for the office, but with a blazer I made them work.  I am sure T will make some sort of Aladdin joke next time I wear them around him :)  This is really weird but the jacket had a funky (chemical-y) smell to it!  I aired it out for a few days and considered exchanging it in-store, but then realized they probably don't do that for online orders.  After about a week I decided it was fine and cut the tags off.  Honestly I have been searching for a decently priced jean jacket in a medium wash for over a year and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning/exchanging.  Worst case scenario I can throw it in the wash and pray for minimal wrinkles!  Or ... buy that steamer I keep putting off!
These flats from Steve Madden finally went on sale (only 20% thought) and I have been wearing them non-stop.  I got my regular size (6.5) and the break-in has been pretty minimal.  Some rubbing at the heel and on the top of the big toe where the toe strap is snug.  Both only happen when walking a lot.

I lost the remote for my DSLR last week so I missed out on photographing about a week's worth of outfits.  I can't remember if I wore anything memorable, lol!  Sometimes it's a bit of hassle to take outfit pics before I go to work, but I never regret when I download the pics from the week and can review what worked and what didn't (or didn't photograph well :\)

Thanks so much for reading!!

Hey everyone!  Here's a look at a couple of new purchases that I mentioned last time - this Old Navy chambray, and these two pairs of shoes from J.Crew Factory.  Also, good news!  Aritzia is having a free shipping promo all weekend so I can order this dress!
Last weekend I ordered this denim jacket (40% off) from Gap and these printed drapey pants from Old Navy (on sale for $20.50) and they should arrive soon so I'll let you know how they fit!  These flats from Steve Madden are next on my buy list, I am just waiting for them to go on sale!

Last weekend was really lovely.  We had dinner with friends at their new house on their gorgeous patio and met their cute little baby, we went for brunch at a new-to-us place in our neighbourhood and walked down to Granville Island to get fresh spot prawns and salad for dinner (I also happened to get a donut!).  As you may know, I have Sundays and Mondays off and T works Monday to Friday, so really we only have one weekend day together and Mondays I kind of do my own thing.  It's pretty routine - usually I sleep in, wake up with a coffee and girly TV show (Grey's Anatomy or Scandal are popular choices) and then head for a workout.  After lunch I get groceries and do meal prep for the week.  If it's sunny and warm I'll suntan and read on our balcony.  Often T will come home early and we'll get a few extra hours to spend together; lately we've been embracing Happy Hour which has been really fun!  I only wish more restaurants would put their HH menus on their website!

What do you like to do on the weekends?  Do you spend time alone or with your partner or a little of both?  Whatever you do, I hope you had a great weekend!  Thank you so much for reading!
