Hi everyone!
Here's a look at what I wore the first week back at work in 2016!
I purchased this cardigan from Aritzia over the holidays with some money T gave me for Christmas (really it was for this Lululemon coat I bought myself prior to Christmas; I was afraid it would sell out and it did). Originally $75 it was on sale for $65, which is still too much in my mind, but I figured it was a gift and I had been eyeing it in September. It is extremely cozy, though a little itchy if worn with a tank - long or short sleeved is the way to go. Also, it sheds like crazy onto whatever you're wearing; my pants were covered in white fluff after a day's wear, but given the fuzziness of the sweater I was kind of expecting that. In hindsight I wish I had at least tried on the XXS for size (I'm wearing an XS here), as it's slightly oversized for work. For casual and home wear I think it's totally fine and the oversized fit makes it feel kind of like wearing a blanket. Also I have worn it a lot since getting it, but I see now it's on sale for $50! Urgh. And no, Aritzia does not do price adjustments :(
I also want to talk about this lace top from J.Crew Factory. It's not online unfortunately, I don't know if it ever was, I purchased mine in-store before the holidays. The front is lace and the back is polyester and the fit is slightly boxy - perfect for holiday feasting! A top like this is really a staple in any wardrobe as it's basically the same as a black t-shirt, only dressier. The lace adds a nice dimension and different texture to any outfit and although it was perfect around the holidays I know I will wear it year-round. I had been looking for something just like this and was so happy when I came across it J.Crew Factory! Now, if only they made one in white!
I did a bunch of (online) shopping over the holidays and you'll see a few of my new purchases that finally arrived on the blog next week (hopefully)! Also for Christmas T gifted me a pair of white Converse that I already love and know I will wear a lot, especially next week on our California trip!! I also purchased this pair of Lululemon leggings which so far have been great. Originally I wanted a pair of Wunder Unders, as I have a cropped version which are great (other than the eventual pilling), but when I tried them on in-store, they were slightly see-through when I bent over! Not good! I also tried on the High Times pant but sadly they were also see-through :( The Pace Tight has a few more design features than the other pants which are basically plain, which I wasn't really looking for, but they are nice details and best of all, not see-through!
Tell me, did you do any shopping over the holidays??
