Hi everyone! It's raining like crazy this week so I haven't been able to take as many outfit pics to share with you, so this will be my last post of the week.  We have a long weekend in BC this weekend, which of course is awesome!  It's a relatively new holiday, Family Day, so I'm always kind of surprised when it sneaks up on us.  We're staying in town this year as T is going to a concert Friday night.  Buut we have a nice brunch planned for Sunday with two of my cousins so we are really looking forward to that.  I hope to get some shopping done too - T and I both need new running shoes, and I need a couple of new sports bras.  Also, I saw this cardigan at H&M a couple of weeks ago and want to go back and scoop it up before they run out of stock.  I like that it has structure, like a blazer, but with a different profile.  And of course, stripes.  I don't have a striped blazer so this would fill the void perfectly.  There's also this one, and this one from Forever 21 in case you are interested in one for yourself!

Okay, onto the outfit!  This look is made up from pieces from all of my favourite budget retailers - Old Navy cardigan and booties, Joe Fresh chambray and necklace, Gap Factory skirt and Gap tights.  Sometimes, because of the blog, I get self-conscious that I wear so many of the same brands repeatedly.  I feel like I need to try more brands so that you don't get sick of always seeing me in Old Navy, Gap, Joe Fresh and Forever 21.  I guess I just stick with what I like, and what I know!  Plus, I'm cheap!  LOL.  If I had the budget to shop at Aritzia and J.Crew, I would, trust me!  If you have any suggestions for Canadian budget-friendly stores, please let me know!  I do love shopping online, but the shipping and return costs for US retailers like Nordstrom is a total deterrent for me.

Alright everyone, I hope you have a great weekend!

  1. I hope you got all that you have on your shopping list. I need some new running shoes too but have been so lazy about running...maybe a new pair of shoes will get my running mojo back. I love this pink skirt and it's perfect with the blue blouse.
