Hi everyone!  Only three looks from last week as I took Tuesday off so that I could have a 4-day weekend (with Wednesday Nov 11 being a stat holiday, and I don't work Mondays).  It was so nice!

I picked up this statement necklace from Forever 21 last week, I really love it.  I was browsing their website and came across it, luckily they had it in store, although online it looks to be sold out?  I found a couple of other options for you here, here and here if you are interested.  I felt like I needed a nice, neutral statement necklace and this one definitely fits the bill.  Also, if follow me on Pinterest you will see I've been pinning "statement necklace storage ideas"!  Lol I do have a cork board in my closet, but it's getting a bid crowded so re-arranging it has been on my to-do list for awhile now.

This white sweater from Old Navy is new as well and I totally love it!  It came with a few other things I ordered online (this cardigan in Sienna Ridge, which I returned because it was a bit boxy and the colour was way darker in person, these pants as my others are getting a bit faded/short, these jeans to replace my other Rockstars which are faded and stretch out like crazy and this vest which I ordered on a whim and returned because it was too boxy).  Back to the sweater.  It is perfectly oversized on me, and a nice medium weight.  Plus the texture is different from anything else I have.  I really want to get it in another colour!  Maybe in Graphite?

Hi everyone!  Here's a look at what I wore to work last week.

I am really loving my light grey faux-suede d'orsay flats from H&M, as you can see.  They are from about a year ago, I saw them in store and bought them on a whim which turned out to be a great purchase!  Urban Outfitters has a really similar pair right now for $49 which I linked to above; they also come in black, maroon and peach.  Grey seems to go with everything and I am considering a pair of ankle boots in light grey or taupe, but I haven't been able to find any in my price range (below $100).  Please let me know if you have any recommendations!

Monthly Outfit Roundup: October 2015

Row 1: Week One
Row 2: Week Two
Row 3: Week Three

Hi everyone, happy November!  Here's a look at what I wore to work in October!

As I mentioned in my last post, my camera remote was 'misplaced' (I thought I lost it or left it in a pocket, then T said he cleaned up and put it away but I couldn't find it .. then I asked him to get it for me but he kept forgetting) so I wasn't able to take outfit pics for the last week of November ... but it made getting this post up much easier and more timely!  If you're interested in seeing what I wore in October last year, click here

Did you all have a good Halloween?  Any great costumes?  I loved looking through my Instagram feed on Sunday morning at all the fun pics from the night before.  Work has been super busy this week, the gallery was open on Sunday and I had to work, plus there weren't any great parties on our radar so I pretty much passed on Halloween this year.  A colleague brought in his leftover candy (from giving out) to share though which has been a nice treat!  I try not to buy Halloween candy since we live in an apartment and we don't have any kids knocking at our door, if it's around I'll just eat it all!

Hey everyone!  So last week there was a random pop-up shop of designer goods on consignment just up the street from where I work.  I stopped in on my lunch break and got two pairs of designer jeans (my weakness!) and an Aritzia dress for under $60 each!  The white dress I am wearing in the first photo is by Wilfred, which they sell at Aritzia, and is from the pop-up! You can't quite tell since I am wearing a cardigan over it, but it is a sleeveless shift dress with exposed zipper pockets and an exposed half-zipper on the back.  I like a lot of things about it.  Number one, it is a white dress, which my closet is lacking and I have been looking for one for awhile now.  Number two, it isn't see-through!  The material is thick and sturdy while still being soft.  Number three, it can be worn year-round.  Number four, it is in different silhouette than I usually wear - shift rather than fit and flare.  Number five, it was $60!  The retail price is $200 so I am pretty happy about that!
The Joe's Jeans I am wearing in the second picture are from the pop-up as well.  I don't own any other pairs of Joe's Jeans but have heard good things about them, so I decided to give them a try.  When I put them on they fit perfectly, so for $38 I had to have them!  I love the really dark rinse with no fading, the ankle length, and the skinny but not jegging fit.  They are really comfortable.
I also purchased a pair of white J Brand skinny jeans with distressing on the knees for $45 (the link doesn't have the knee rips but the style is the same).  They are the same mid-rise style as two other pairs of J Brand jeans that I own (these, these), so I had a feeling they would work well and luckily they did!

Because it seemed like I was kind of obsessed with red tones last week, I consciously tried to stay away from them this week, which resulted in a lot of black and white!  Not the norm for me, but that's ok!

The remote for my camera has been 'misplaced' so no outfit pics are happening this week.  That means that this will be my last post of October outfits, and early next week I'll put up my monthly outfit roundup.

Happy Halloween y'all!

So it looks like I am really loving reds this month, hey?  LOL  I swear it wasn't planned!
Also I am wearing a couple of new, or new-to-the-blog items this month!
First, this white blouse from Dynamite.  I wore this top in (you guessed it) burgundy last month (seen here).
Second, this pony hair leopard belt that I got on sale at Gap and these pony hair leopard d'orsay flats from J.Crew Factory (not longer online :()that I ordered in the summer.  Love them both!
Third, this super soft and cozy sweater from Gap and this casual sweater from Old Navy.
Lastly, this polka dot blouse from H&M that I picked up a while back to replace my other polka dot blouse (also from H&M).  I don't see it online but check in stores!

I can't believe next weekend is Halloween!  Do you have any costumes planned and parties lined up?  We don't have any plans just yet so we'll see what happens!
