Heeeeyyy!  How's it going??

Things over here have been good, pretty quiet.  Like no major life changes or trips or anything.  We have been hanging out at home a lot, tackling house projects and cleaning/nesting/organizing ... things like that!

The weather in Vancouver has been unseasonably warm and I have zero complaints about it.  I know I should be more worried about global warming, but the effect it is having on my life in this moment is welcome.  You will be seeing some more warm-weather outfits soon!
Things are picking up entertainment-wise - we are watching Game of Thrones and I have the new Beyonce album on full repeat (I am writing this from the future, lol!)

Shopping-wise, I did pick up a few things this month, including two pairs of shoes from J.Crew Factory (here, here), and this gorgeous pleated midi skirt (in the colour "Warm Harbour".  Scored on sale for $37 USD and free shipping!).  Unfortunately the skirt was final sale (so no returns or exchanges) and it fits smaller than I would like (I ordered a 2P, I think a 4P would have been better), but I'm going to make it work!  I also ordered this dress from Aritzia when it went on sale for $58 (down from $85) after trying it on in store in February.  I don't really have an LBD for work and I really liked how this one had sleeves, a v-neck that wasn't too revealing, was short but not inappropriately so, and was comfortable but still figure-flattering (I tie it at the front, and ordered an XS for reference).  I love it.  I also ordered this dress but had to return it.  It was okay, and I love the colour, but I just didn't LOVE the fit on me.  And I really try to only buy things I LOVE.  You know what I mean?  In the meantime, this dress has popped up, and I was able to try it on in-store, but they didn't have the berry colour!  Aritzia only does free shipping over $150, and their returns for online orders are for a merchandise credit, not cash (or back on your Visa/Debit) so I may have to fork over the $8 for shipping if I want to get it :(  I also really like the cornflower blue colour!
This chambray from Old Navy also came in the mail.  It is really cute.  It definitely runs on the large size (boyfriend fit).  I ordered my regular size, XS, and further shrunk it in the dryer.  It worked pretty well but I'm not looking forward to washing it again as the wrinkles were pretty atrocious.

Well, that's it for now!  Thanks so much for reading!!

A couple of things to note here - #1, I bought and wore a jumpsuit in public! LOL  As with most polarizing trends (culottes & flared crops come to mind), I was at first against/on the fence about rompers/jumpsuits.  I tried a couple of rompers last summer, and they didn't work, if I recall correctly they felt too young-looking and pyjama-ey.  I was convinced to try a pants version by a few of my very encouraging co-workers and I have to say, I am really liking this one from Old Navy!  I have already worn it again since, although it is difficult to re-style being that it is pretty much a complete outfit in and of itself. I do feel slightly like I am wearing pyjamas in it, and therefore will likely reserve it for more casual work days.  Unfortunately I can't wear it much outside of work as my husband has made it clear that he is NOT a fan of the look!
#2, this striped top from Old Navy doesn't photograph well but I promise in person it's quite cute.  It's boxy and slightly cropped, which is a different silhouette than I normally wear, so it's a nice change.  Also the mustard yellow/white/navy blue combo is great.  The only dislike is that it's difficult to wear a topper (cardigan, blazer) with this because of the boxiness and the longer sleeves.
#3, clearly I need a new pair of black flats because all I seem to wear these days are these old Vince Camuto flats!  The leather starting to wear at the toe so I recently picked up these loafer-style flats from Aldo.  They are buttery-soft and I love them!  Normally I wear a 6 1/2, but I got a 6 in these and they are fine.  They were sold out of the 6 1/2 in-store and online at the time (I see now they are re-stocked online in multiple sizes) so I wasn't able to compare, but the SA convinced me the leather would stretch and I from wearing them for a week, I think she's right.

Well, that's all for now!  Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for reading!
