Happy Leap Day!
I picked up this jersey maxi skirt from Joe Fresh on the weekend after a friend of mine bragged about finding one there for $15.  Turns out it was really $25, but that's still cheap!  Its double lined so I don't have to worry about wearing a slip underneath, and the elastic waist is stretchy enough can wear it high or low waisted.  They didn't have any on the sales floor, but the very nice sales associate at the fitting room checked in the back for extra stock and found me one.  Yaay!

Apologies for the lack of post yesterday.  I wasn't working, so I didn't bother putting on a cute outfit.  Sad, but true.  Sometimes on my days off I wear cute things, but my go to outfit is jeans and a sweater.  Pretty boring.

I spent way to long drying my hair this morning (with a round brush, for a more 'bouncy' look) so I didn't have time for pre-work outside outfit pics.  These pics are taken in my gym locker room, which I frequent on a daily basis.  Luckily today it wasn't busy so I could take a couple of pics without anyone seeing me!

Rain Etiquette

You know what bugs me?  When its raining out, and people with umbrellas walk under awnings, forcing those without umbrellas to walk on the part of the sidewalk not covered by the awning, thus getting wet.  It's rude.

Oh, and I figured out that I did wear yesterdays outfit before, but with boots (I think?), to the movies & bowling :)

Oh sunny day!

I thought I was done with these flats, because they are really dirty up close ... but I just thought this outfit needed a pop of colour ... and hopefully no one looks at my shoes that closely ?!

It was a really beautiful sunny day today (minus the 5 min hail storm in the late afternoon), and it was kind of light out when I left work ... Spring is coming!!

 I haven't worn this blazer/jacket for awhile.  It's a bit shoulder-pad heavy, but maybe it just looks that way when I'm wearing light layers underneath.  I think it looks good with this heavy cardigan ...  Thoughts ?

This outfit is super comfy which is what I needed after a night of indulgence.  Also, this dress is now officially a tunic as it shrunk in the dryer after the Dominican :(  No cute summer dress for me.

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine's Day Eve.
I went to the grocery store tonight and it was jam packed. And in the baking section, only 3 vials of red food colouring left ... out of, like, 50!  Amazing.

T and I are staying home to enjoy a nice bottle (or two) of wine and a delicious no-cook dinner.  I am also planning on making these red velvet cheesecake brownies.  Yum!

Saturday Night Live

I just watched the latest episode of SNL and loved this dress Zooey Deschanel was wearing in the monologue, and the shoes Karmin wore in her first song.  I've been on the lookout for a cute pair of t-strap high heels for awhile, those these might be a bit too high for me.

 

 

On another note, a friend of mine let me know that Sam Edelman is doing a line of shoes for American Eagle Outfitters:

 

At 4.5", these wedges are too high for me but are good buy at $59.90 for a designer line. I only wish they were real leather.

Jean from Extra Petite did a recent H&M fitting room review of this houndstooth knit skirt, and at $14.36 with coupon I think it is super cute and a great value.  I would hem it to above the knee and it would be perfect!
