Shop-a-thon (.... well, kind of)

3.13.2012

(Cardigan by H&M, Shirt by TNA (Aritzia), Jeans by JBrand, Shoes by F21)

Today I had a shopping day at Metrotown, BC's biggest mall.  It's huge.
My lovely BF gave me a gift card for F21 so that's the main reason I went - also I wanted to check out Old Navy in person so see the quality of some the items I've been wanting online.  Unfortunately, after spending 1.5hrs in F21 and taking about 20 items to the fitting room (deciding on 2), I found out that the gift card is only valid online.  Booo.  However, I'm really happy with the two items I will be purchasing:  An 'orchid' coloured open front blazer and a mint coloured leopard print scarf (not seeing the scarf online .. hmmm.)

From Old Navy, I got 3 of the 6 items I posted about yesterday:
This fit in in an XS.  Regular price $22.94. I like to purchase Old Navy online because they often have sales.  I purchased all 3 with a 30% discount and free shipping.

This fit in a small.  I ordered an XS but it was too tight in the bust, so I've exchanged it for a small after trying it on in store today.

I ordered this in an XS as well but it just didn't fit right.  The small was much better so I'm expecting it in the mail soon!

I also checked out the 2 pairs of sandals and the bikini top I was looking at online.  The bikini top was not as cute in person, and the faux-leather wedges looked really cheap.  The neon wedges were not as neon in person, but their black and white/cream counterparts were very cute and I will be picking them up when the weather gets a bit warmer and I get another coupon code!

At H&M I picked up a pair of hot pink skinny pants for $17.95(!).  A 6 fit OK.  I wish I could have tried a 4 but they didn't have any so I bought the 6 and will shrink them a bit.  I tried on these floral pants (see also on Olivia and Alexandra) and they fit, but I just didn't think I could pull them off.  I also tried on the skirt version of Wendy's dress, but it just wasn't that comfy.

I also picked up 2 items from Dynamite: a black and white colour-block skirt ($34.80, can't find a pic of it online, sorry) and a black polyester blouse with pockets on the bust and a longer back ($29.90).  I've shown it in white as well to give you a better idea.

And that about sums it up!  That's quite a long post for me and I'm pretty much exhausted now.  I hope all the links work!
