The New Suede Booties

So, these are the new booties I bought from Aldo yesterday (see here).  I have been wanting a pair of wedge booties like these for awhile ... I like how you can wear them with socks so your feet stay warm in the winter, they have a rubber wedge for comfort, and the wedge and shoe colour are the same.  These were all important things for me in a bootie.  Also, I didn't want the heel to be too high.  These are 3.25".  I wore them all day at work and had no problems ... and I rarely wear heels!

Now let me tell you a story about these shoes.  I searched and searched online and in stores to find a pair of black suede booties I liked.  I found these on Aldo's website, but at $80 were too rich for my taste.  About a month ago, they went on sale and I immediately bought a pair.  I waited and waited and then waited some more until finally, no joke, 2.5 weeks later, they arrived at my door.  I brought them home (I get things delivered to my work) and tried them on.  WAY too small!  Also, my boyfriend T really didn't like them.  Really really didn't like them.  Then it was Christmas. No Aldo in home town.  I didn't want to pay for return shipping, and I wanted to try on the bigger size in the store.  Finally, last night I got around to returning them.  I waited forever in line, then had to go to another store to try on a bigger size.  Bigger size was too big.  Had to buy insoles and heel stickies in order for them to fit ... ended up costing me $15 more than what I originally paid.

Arghhh!  These shoes better be worth it.
