I finally bit the bullet and ordered some comfy clothes for post-partum.  I've had a big cart full at Gap that I kept adding to and removing and checking for sales and finally got a good enough code (40% off everything) that I was happy to go ahead and press 'order'!  LOL

Here is what I got:

there is a very cute matching nursing cami that goes with these pants that I really wanted, but it sold out :(. I got the plain white nursing cami below to wear with them instead

The black wide-leg jumpsuit and short ribbed dress I am hoping to be able to wear in these final 6 weeks of pregnancy. As you know, and can see from my repetitive outfits, I have not been buying a lot of new things to wear in pregnancy and am starting to get a little bored by my outfits.  Honestly if I didn't have this blog / worked from home more I doubt I would care but it is what it is and that's fine!

I will probably do another order soon for bralettes/nursing bras, granny panties (I hear these are necessary?!) and some newborn onesies/sleepers.

We sold the bed in our guest room so T has started to get the room ready for the baby.  He put the baseboards on and is prepping to paint the walls and ceiling.  Closet doors need to be ordered and installed and I am just waiting on Ikea to re-stock this sofabed so I can get it delivered and installed along with the crib.  We are also going to buy a dresser and put a change pad on top.  I haven't decided on the dresser yet but am hoping to get one second-hand.  I like this one from West Elm but really don't want to pay $1600 for a dresser!  The baby won't sleep in this room for the first couple of months, they will sleep in a bassinet in our room (still need to buy...) so it's not essential that this room is ready right away, but better to get it done now while we have the time!

So that is what we will be up to this weekend, and probably next weekend as well!  COVID restrictions are still pretty strict here in BC; we can see friends / people outside our household but only outside and it's still pretty cold, so we haven't seen any of our friends since before Christmas.  We can dine indoors but personally don't feel comfortable doing that so have only done it for 2 special occasion dinners.

I didn't realize today was the first day of spring!  It certainly doesn't feel like it here (cold, rainy) but I can see some blossoms starting to peek out and that makes me happy.

Thank you all so much for visiting!

xo JULES
