So my Forever 21 order arrived and I am keeping the pleated drop-waist dress and the chiffon polka dot dress, but the other 2 dresses are returns.  All of the hair bows were final sale so they are keepers!  Unfortunately it cost me $22 out of pocket to return the dresses, so I will not be ordering from F21 again anytime soon.  I hate paying for return shipping!!  J.Crew & J.Crew Factory stores in Canada have closed so Canadian customers will now have to pay for return shipping to the US :(. I probably won't be buying from those stores very frequently anymore, unless it's headbands or shoes - items I know I will love!  It's too bad because they have such cute, preppy stuff.  Perfect for business casual!

Anyways, I also bought & just received these Pippa Embellished Combat Boots by Karl Lagerfeld Paris!  To me, these feel like a departure from my usual style.  BUT I was influenced by a colleague who last winter had a very similar pair and she wore them all the time to work and always looked super cute.  I showed her this pair and she convinced me to buy them.  They are expensive, so I waited until they went on sale ... but then I waited too long and they sold out!  (By the way, in Canada I found them at Hudson's Bay.  In the US they were available at Nordstrom (but not at Nordstrom Canada!)).  I kept the page open and literally refreshed it every day.  As luck would have it, a pair in my size came back in stock - but at full price!  I bought them anyways as I'd been agonizing over missing them for like a week and again kept the page open and refreshed every day to see if they would go on sale so I could get a price adjustment.  HBC only does price adjustments for 7 days so I felt quite lucky when they did get marked down during that time period.  It wasn't quite as big of a discount (I think it worked out to 25%) as when they originally went on sale (which was 30%), but I'll take it!

Other than that, I bought the IT Cosmetics CC Cream that is a blogger favourite but it hasn't arrived yet, and I have my eye on this cute pajama set from Abercrombie.  It's 15% off today ... do you think I should buy it?  Oh!  I also bought a bunch of sweater dresses from Gap that I am excited to try:

Tony and I started watching The Queen's Gambit this week and I am really enjoying it.  I think we will probably finish it this weekend!  And I am excited to start watching the new season of The Crown!  Tony doesn't watch that one with me so we'll see if he can deal with it being on in the background, or if I'm going to have to sneak off to watch by myself!

Alright, that's it for now!  Thank you all so much for visiting.

xo JULES
