I am going shopping in-store today for the first time in I can't remember how long!! I am more of an online shopper but I do appreciate a good in-store shop every now and then. It's good to get a feel for the textures of things, and especially for trying on shoes or brands that are unfamiliar, nothing beats it!

The heat wave finally broke this week (I was not complaining!) and it feels like we are nearing the end of summer. In my mind Labour Day weekend is 'the last weekend of summer' and even though we don't have any plans for it, I am still adhering to that and will not be breaking out the fall clothes until at least mid-September!
I've actually been looking to buy some new fall clothes in advance, which is very unlike me! But unfortunately I just haven't really found anything good! I feel like retailers are usually pushing fall clothing by now? Maybe with the pandemic they are producing less, marketing less and feeling like customers aren't buying as much.
I was eyeing a few things from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (check out last week's post), but they were either not available or sold out in Canada. They weren't must-haves so I'm not super disappointed and will look for them in-store next time I go in. Did you end up buying anything from the #nsale?

Hi hello!
The last week of July has been HOT and I am here for it! We have a portable air conditioner in our apartment which has made the temperatures in the evening really nice, and we have (very cold) air con at the gallery so it's all good IMO!
It's a long weekend for us in BC and most of Canada, so I'm excited for the extra day off and we will be spending lots of time on our patio!
Next weekend we are going to Vancouver Island for our annual family camping trip, plus we've added on a few nights of camping in Tofino with my sister, so we'll be off for about a week! I'm actually so excited to have some time off and more importantly to see my family!! We haven't seen them (except my sister) since Christmas!
Things will be pretty quiet here on the blog for the next two weeks since I won't really be at work. I'll publish a Monthly Outfit Roundup for July but otherwise follow me on Instagram if you want to see what I'm up to!
