July Outfits Week Four

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it's going to be August next week!  My parents are coming to stay with us on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then we have a long weekend.  We don't have any plans for the long weekend but I feel like we need to make some ... we've been going a little stir crazy being at home so much!

If you saw my Instagram #tbt you'll know I wore basically this exact same outfit on this day last year!  A sleeveless vest is a great way to add interest but not warmth to a simple dress, and also a trick to wear a cami dress to work!  I finally found a second hand version of this vest in beige (from Poshmark) so I'll have even more options!

This top really only gets worn in the summer and that's okay!  I remember when I first bought it I was disappointed because it's not the softest material, but it's quite lightweight and almost like a sweater version of linen.  It's perfect for summer and I like how the tunic length is a little bit different from what I normally wear.

We had an opening at the gallery the day I wore this dress.  I also wore it for the last opening we had, but I figured no one but me would remember that and I really wanted to wear it again, so I did!  I haven't worn this necklace for awhile either and I like how the neutral colours match with my shoes.  Simple but classy!

Gawd I have had this top forever!  I just can't seem to get myself to get rid of it!  LOL  But I still like and wear it so why would I?  It's super lightweight, actually sort of sheer, but the pattern and ruffles camouflage it so you don't have to wear a cami underneath.

We're having another weekend at home and are going to use it to clean/organize before my parents come to stay with us next week.  It's my mum's birthday on Tuesday so we are going out for a nice dinner and then on Wednesday night we are going to watch the fireworks!  Today T & I going to go see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and I'm excited to see Leo & Brad on screen together!

I still have not done any shopping (except for the Aritzia vest off Poshmark)!  Maybe because the weather has been so warm, I've been wearing all of my summer stuff that hasn't been worn in awhile so I'm not sick of it yet?!  LOL I'm sure my bank account has been happy about it in any case.  I've actually been wanting to buy these running shorts from Gap, but I need to order more to get free shipping.  I also want to try this midi skirt and these sunglasses, but I haven't been able to get a good discount on the skirt yet.

Next week I'll post my Monthly Outfit Roundup for July but I'm probably not going to shoot any of my outfits next week.  Like I said my parents are going to be here, and supposedly the construction on our balconies is going to start on Monday so I may not have safe access to our patio for photos.
