Hi everyone, Happy December!
Last weekend we put our Christmas tree up and it makes me so happy to see it glowing in the corner of our living room! I've done a bit of Christmas shopping so far, but I'm really only buying for Tony this year, one gift each for our niece and nephew, plus one 'white elephant' gift for the family. My work's holiday party is on Tuesday and we do a white elephant gift exchange there as well, so I'm waiting to see if there are good ideas there before I buy my family gift!

I am having a bit of a week tbh with you. I got my period, my skin is freaking out and it's been really cold out. Also, how is it December tomorrow?? Part of me is excited because it means I can put up our Christmas tree! But the other part is like 'where did the year go?'
Last weekend I started watching The Crown Season 3 - it is very good! I'm kind of annoyed they changed the actors for Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret, but not Prince Phillip and The Earl of Snowdon though. They all aged! Having said that, Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter are great, but I can't quite get over seeing them as actresses first, and the characters they play second. Do you know what I mean? The actor that plays Prince Charles this year is really really good - something about him reminds me of a younger Adam Driver.

Hi everyone!
I am off to Toronto this weekend and we also have family staying with us tonight and tomorrow night so I'll be keeping this post brief. In addition, I won't have a blog post up next weekend :(
When I get back on Thursday we have more house guests so it's going to be a very social next 10 days or so. The introvert in me is already looking forward to decompressing! LOL

Wow, October was a long month! I did not realize last week that I would have a whole 'nother week of outfits to show you before we hit November! Not to be cliche and talk about the weather, but we have been having amazing sunny days here which has definitely contributed to these outfit choices - bare legs on Monday and no boots in sight! It honestly just rains so much here in the winter that I will take all the sunny days I can get 🌞🌞

Hi everyone!
Like I predicted last week, it finally got cold enough to wear tights :( Not only that, but the boiler at work broke so we've been without heat for the past week! We do have space heaters that we can use at our desks, but normally I have my space heater on in addition to the gallery heat! LOL. On Friday I literally did not take off my winter coat all day.
On Friday night we went to Victoria to visit my cousins for Thanksgiving! We had made a reservation on the ferry for 8pm (on long weekends you NEED to make a ferry reservation or you will be waiting for hours/potentially not get on a ferry) and unfortunately traffic was really bad and we missed our reservation cut off time by 4 minutes! Sometimes you can still get on the ferry even if you miss the cut off but because it was so busy we missed the 8pm ferry and got on the 9 instead. It was a long day to say the least!

Hi everyone, happy October!
This weekend we went to the Okanagan to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday! It was really fun but I drank way too much and was super hungover the next day for our 5 hour drive back to the city! Not only that but the highway we take is very winding, and we left later than we were supposed to so Tony was speeding because we had to meet friends from out of town for dinner back in Vancouver! Luckily I gradually felt better as the drive went on (I was at my lowest before we left) and I was able to pull myself together and get ready for dinner while T drove.
The weather was so beautiful in the Okanagan and all of the trees changing colour on the drive there and back was just so pretty. On Saturday before the party we went to the Garlic Festival at Hester Creek Winery with our niece and met my cousin and her wife there. We bought a couple of different types of garlic and Tony is going to plant some in our garden! We also bought some garlic cheese curds which Tony is going to use in a poutine. (Poutine and chicken wings are his two favourite foods :)). We sat outside and had some lunch from the Wienery food truck, and of course sampled some of Hester Creek's delicious wine.

Hi everyone, happy weekend!
I feel like this was a pretty good week - the weather was definitely better, and that always puts me in a better mood! I made a big soup on Monday night that Tony and I had for dinner, and I brought the leftovers to work for a couple of day's worth of lunches. I worked out 4 times, made 3 dinners at home and we have 3 new shows on TV to watch! (Survivor, The Voice and Criminal)

Hi there, happy Sunday!
It is miserable here today - cold, dark rainy. I think it's supposed to be like this for the rest of the week, too :( . We are planning on going for brunch and then shopping downtown before seeing Ad Astra, Brad Pitt's new movie.
Yesterday I got my hair cut and coloured, we went for tacos, and other than that we were just at home watching TNG! Tony was putting together some shelves, too - one for the dining room and another bookcase-type shelf unit for the second bedroom.
The mirror that we ordered for the dining room is going back - we didn't love the colour, and the fact that it didn't have a frame. Why are mirrors so expensive? I really don't want to have to spend $400 on a mirror!~

Hi everyone! How are you?
It was definitely feeling like fall this week in Vancouver, and sadly I am already starting to get depressed by the rain!
We don't really have any plans this weekend - Tony is playing board games today and I am working on the blog. Later I plan on doing laundry and maybe going to yoga, and then tonight and tomorrow we don't have anything! We should (I hate saying should) probably get groceries at some point this weekend too, so we'll see what happens.

Hi everyone, happy September!
How are you?
I'm okay! The weather was summer-like this week, hot & sunny so that is a win, but I've also been battling with incessant chin (& this week body!) acne, plus I got my period! (I'm sure they're related!)
But I worked out 3 times this week, which for a short week is pretty good, and I have some banana bread in the oven right now which is making the house smell amazing and I can't wait to have some!

Hi everyone! Happy long weekend!
I'm not sure about you but I really consider Labour Day Weekend to be the last weekend of summer. I don't want summer to end and I will continue to dress like it's summer until the weather dictates otherwise, but there's something about Labour Day that kind of signals that those carefree, lazy, hot summer days are over. I think it goes back to school honestly, school for me always started back up after Labour Day, which I know is not the case for everyone.

Hiiiii! How are you?? This week has been a little bit crazy - work has been super busy (we had an important deadline on Friday) and Tony's aunt has been staying with us since Tuesday. She is visiting from Ontario so we have been doing all of the things! I'll spare you the play by play but yesterday we went kayaking in Deep Cove and today we are going to the Scandinave Spa in Whistler. We're getting massages at the spa and I am very excited. She leaves tomorrow AM and then it's Tony's birthday on Tuesday!

Oh hi! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet! It's been a bit of a day so far but we are getting there. I said this last week but I'll say it again - please bear with me as I figure out the lighting and editing of these indoor outfit pics! I'm a little embarrassed as I know they're uneven, but my photography and editing have never been the best so hopefully you'll stick with me!

Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute since I've posted on here and as you can see I'm still getting the hang of/trying out indoor pics! This solution can only last so long because as we get into the fall and winter months there won't be enough light in the mornings to take outfit pics inside. But, like with the scaffolding/balcony/patio situation, I'll come up with a solution when we get there! (How's that for planning?!)

Hi everyone!
I can't believe it's going to be August next week! My parents are coming to stay with us on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then we have a long weekend. We don't have any plans for the long weekend but I feel like we need to make some ... we've been going a little stir crazy being at home so much!

If you're new here, I skipped posting last week (what would have been July Outfits Week Two) as I only worked three days and then went on our annual family camping trip! I definitely could have worked in the morning on Thursday as we didn't need to leave super early to get to the campsite, and then I would have had 4 work outfits to show you. But I would have struggled to find time to put the post together, plus it was nice to have extra time on Thursday to get ready for camping! (Packing our bags and the car, etc.)
