Jules in Flats August Outfits (Business Casual Summer Workwear on a Budget)

Hi everyone!  Here's a look at what I wore to work last week.

The side by side photos are out of order, sorry!  I'm not sure what happened there but I was too lazy to fix it!

I'm really trying to wear all of my summer dresses at least once before I start repeating outfits, so I pulled out this pleated Aritzia dress on Monday when it was quite hot.  I bought this dress at the Aritzia Warehouse Sale a couple of years ago.  Sometimes with Aritzia they bring back the same style every season in new colours/patterns, but I guess this one wasn't popular enough because I haven't seen it again!  Anyways, the teal is a nice bright colour, it's lined and made of a crepey/poly fabric which is cool and work-appropriate (I find dresses made of jersey/cotton are typically too casual for work, plus they don't hold up as well over time).

Also, my pink pleated mini skirt is back!  I love this skirt and surprisingly don't wear it more often.  I paired it with my gingham top from Old Navy that I haven't worn to work since May!

I wore the heart-print top in July, also with Pixie pants, so there's nothing really new about that outfit, and then I finished off the work week with these Darontal pants from Aritzia (bought on sale), that are a bit more dressy than my usual Pixies, paired with an old favourite striped top from H&M that I wish I had steamed before taking these pictures! #bloggerfail

In other news, we bought a new place!!  We made an offer last Sunday and it was finalized by Monday at 5!  Naturally, we went out to celebrate and had a great evening sipping drinks by the water on Granville Island and finishing up at Edible Canada.  It was my mum's birthday on Monday as well so we had a nice FaceTime in the evening to celebrate both events!

It's a long weekend here in Canada and surprisingly we don't have any plans!  We are going to be away every weekend in August except this one, so I think we're both okay with that!  Our apartment was de-staged yesterday so it's looking pretty empty and we get possession of our new place mid-September so are going to have to start packing soon!

Next weekend is our annual family camping trip, and this year we are going to Galiano Island!  We've never been so are excited to check it out!  We're leaving Thursday, and with Monday being a holiday I'll only be at work 2 days next week which means no blog post next weekend.

Anyways, thank you all so much for reading and I hope you have a great week!
