Jules in Flats - June Outfits

Jules in Flats - June Outfits

Hi everyone!  Here's a look at what I wore to work last week.

Also, hello blog redesign!  Do you guys like it?!  I'm really happy, I think it looks clean and fresh and I love the rose gold header.  Please bear with me as I iron out the kinks!

I feel like I am getting really bad at remixing my closet - I'm pretty sure I've worn all of these exact same outfits before, with the exception of the yellow eyelet top as it's new!  I think it's so cute though, I wish I had bought it sooner!

As you may know, it's a long weekend here in Canada because of Canada Day!  Last year we went to Victoria to visit friends and family, and we got to go boating/fishing with my cousin and her wife which was the perfect day (even if we were a bit hungover from the previous night's festivities!).  This year, this weather is kind of crappy so I'm glad we didn't make any plans that depended on it.

On Sunday, I hiked the Sea to Summit Trail in Squamish with some friends.  We were a bit worried as we drove through rain on the way there, but by the time we got to the top three hours later, it was sunny!  We had some lunch, looked around/took some pictures and then rode the gondola back down.  Later on, T and I went to a friend's place for a Canada Day party and we watched the fireworks from their rooftop deck!

Saturday we moved some boxes and things to our storage locker, and did some shopping for staging our place.  Today will be more of the same, and perhaps an Ikea trip/movie night since there's a big theatre out there.  We shall see!  This week we have cleaners coming, stagers and photos so we can have our place listed by this time next week!  Eek!

In shopping news, I've had tabs open for these sunglasses, this jumpsuit and these sandals open all week, hoping for a sale, free shipping or a re-stock in my size/colour.  The jumpsuit was on sale and in-stock in my size last weekend and I should have just bought it then!  The sunglasses I want in black and the sandals are because I need a new pair of plain black sandals I can wear to work and they're only $45!

I did an order from H&M this week, because I really want a black bodycon dress to wear with my kimono, but I don't want to spend too much.  So I ordered this one and this one to try in a couple of different sizes, this maxi dress which is perfect for summer, these flats because I can never have too many pairs of black flats, these sandals (see above!), and these cute scalloped slingbacks because they are cute and fun and only $20 :).  I'll let you know how they all turn out!

Canadian readers, I hope you are all having a great long weekend, and happy early 4th to my American readers!

  2. Every look is worth wearing! The shown styles are great for work and travels. My favorite one is a grey top with a pleated turquoise-blue skirt.
