Hi everyone! Happy Halloween!
This weekend was a short one as I worked on Saturday and only had Sunday off, and we had friends staying over as well. Typically I write and get my blog posts ready on Saturday or Sunday morning, but after a bit of a late night on Saturday playing board games, T & I just wanted to chill and get into the second season of Stranger Things on Sunday! (It's so good BTW)
This week is a busy one for us as well - last night we went out for a friend's birthday to Tavola (I ate so much it's disgusting) and tried to go to the Stanley Park Ghost Train, which is an annual tradition that I LOVE, but it was sold out! SO we are going back tonight! LOL! It's the last night and I bought tickets in advance so no excuses! Tomorrow night my parents fly into town; we are picking them up from the airport and they are staying with us for the night before they move into a hotel for Thurs-Sat. Thursday we need to get groceries for the weekend, Friday we are going to the Maori All Blacks vs Canada Rugby game which my whole family is coming down for, Saturday I am going shopping with my sister and sister-in-law, and Saturday night we are having my fam over for dinner! 12 people eating in a 1 bedroom apartment ... not sure how we're going to make that work! LOL!
Oh AND I need to go through all our Bali photos and make a slideshow for the fam to watch on Saturday!
Anyways, enough about that and on to the outfits! I actually have been doing a TON of shopping (have you seen my InstaStories - I did a bunch of try-on videos which was really fun!) but am not wearing anything new in these outfits. The navy boatneck top in the last outfit I have had forever but haven't worn in a long time ... now that's back in the rotation I have already worn it twice! Funny how that happens, right? That's why I have trouble with the closet clean-out philosophy to get rid of items you haven't worn in the past year - sometimes I just go through phases! I have defintely worn the pink peplum top + striped cardigan combo before, and the floral Forever 21 dress + blazer combo is a classic as well. I wish I had belted it or worn some jewelry though - it looks a little plain in the pics!
Shopping-wise, I am keeping this cold-shoulder sweater from J.Crew, this dress from Dynamite (also just ordered this one and another one which isn't online anymore), this dress, this top and this top, this cardigan and these booties from Old Navy. This cocoon coat from J.Crew Factory arrived and I love the colour and softness of it, but it was a bit big across the chest so I have ordered another size to try. I also bought this North Face parka off someone on Craigslist but the Small is too big so I am have to go to the store to try on the XS. All the online reviews said it ran small so I thought I would be safe! I am also considering an Aritzia parka this year (instead of North Face, not in addition to!), so hopefully this weekend I'll be able to do some try-ons!
Anyways, thank you so much for reading and I hope to be back soon with my Monthly Outfit Roundup for October (even though it will be small)!
See the blogs I link-up with here!
I wish I had time to go shopping! There are so many great items in stores and fun trends this season! Love that peplum blouse!
