Hi everyone!  How are you?!

Here's a look at what I wore to work last week.  Apologies for the lighting in a few photos!  The sun has been coming in at more of a direct angle now that it is rising later, and I (obviously) haven't yet adjusted my timing to avoid it.  I would say I would do it next week, but this will be my last post for about a month!  We are going to Bali next week and won't be back until mid-October.  After that I'll have a week of outfits which I'll blog about around Oct. 21st or so.  I might be able to get my Monthly Outfit Roundup for September in while we are away though ... we'll see!

This weekend we are getting ready for our trip - packing and making sure we have everything we need!  I need to figure out what I need to pack and a few wedding-related outfits. My shoes for the wedding finally arrived yesterday(!) so now I have to hem the maxi dress I'm going to wear to the correct length!  I don't have a sewing machine (although I do know how to sew - thanks Mum!) but I do have hemming tape (you use an iron) which hopefully will work.  I haven't tried the hemming tape on clothes before so fingers crossed!  Originally I was going to wear this dress from Aritzia (which I still love and think is really pretty) but then I was on the Forever 21 website looking for a few fun summery dresses for Bali and saw this dress back in stock (it's since sold out).  I had seen this dress at the beginning of summer and just thought it was so pretty, but decided I didn't really need it so didn't order it.  When it was back in stock a few weeks ago I thought I would just order it to try and it seemed perfect for Bali.  At this point I wasn't even thinking I was going to wear it to the wedding!  But then it arrived and I tried it on and it's just too pretty and perfect for a Bali wedding!  I have to wear it!  LOL  I also ordered this dress for welcome drinks and this dress for the tropical-themed stagette (bachelorette) party.

Well, that's it for now - I better get packing!  I hope you all have a great weekend and next couple of weeks!  Be sure to follow me on Insta while I'm in Bali!!!

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!  Here's a look at what I wore to work last week.

Nothing I'm wearing here is new, the newest thing is probably these suede scalloped flats from Town Shoes that I purchased in May.  They are so pretty but the soles are really thin so they aren't that great for walking around in; I don't see them lasting that long :(.  Despite that, I still want to buy them in the fuschia colour! LOL .

I haven't worn these faux-suede booties from Old Navy since the Spring but they are a nice way to transition a dress from summer to fall I think.  I want to buy them in the new taupe colour, and black too!  They fit TTS in my opinion and I just wear a little sockette with them, not a full thick ankle sock.

Everyone keeps asking me about Fall shopping and while I am doing a lot of looking online, I really haven't pulled the trigger on anything.  We are going to Bali in two weeks (!!) so I am just not in the Fall mindset yet.  Though I know once we get back it will really be Fall and then I'll be wishing I'd bought tights and sweaters in advance!!

I am really crushing on some of the J.Crew New Arrivals.  This houndstooth skirt and these drapey pants, this striped t-shirt, this mockneck sweater in stripe and cream, and this bell-sleeve sweater with ties are all calling my name!  Also, this velvet bow hair tie is so Gal Meets Glam and I love it! (She is everything).

I am also looking for a pair of mules that don't look stupid on me, a rain jacket (boring), a winter parka (also boring), possibly a winter coat in camel or light grey (probably this one), long sleeve blouses and sweaters, and a thick cream or ivory coloured long cardigan that is cozy but not oversized and doesn't shed!

What's on your Fall shopping list??

Hi everyone!

Here's a look at what I wore to work in the first week of September!

The weather was a bit all over the place this week; smoky and humid for most of the week and then the rain started yesterday.  We need the rain so I am grateful for that but I am not ready for summer to be over!

This week I had my Nexus interview and was approved, so I'll get my card in the mail in about 2 weeks!  I also went to the Gordon Smith and Kim Dorland exhibition openings at Equinox Gallery with a couple of colleagues and it was great!  Super busy!  But I really enjoyed the art (Gordon Smith more so) and that's the main thing.

We have absolutely zero plans for this weekend which I can't say I'm mad about.  Last night we opened a bottle of wine from our last Okanagan trip (Mur-Fi's Red from Platinum Bench), made spaghetti for dinner,  and watched The Big Sick.

Today I think I might go to hot yoga (I really wanted to go yesterday but there weren't any with good timing after work), and return the sandals I bought last weekend to The Bay.  I also need to get some new luggage for our trip to Bali (my current carry-on has a broken wheel).

Other than that, I'm not really sure!  We need to plan the second part of our Bali trip, and I could start planning our kitchen reno (!!).  I already know how I want the kitchen to look, the finishes etc. but we need to do all the measurements!

Hi everyone!  How are you?

On Friday everyone kept saying how it was the last weekend of summer but in my experience that's just not true!  (Nor do I want it to be! LOL).  T & I went to Happy Hour at Tap & Barrel in Olympic Village after work and then ordered a pizza on our way home.  It's always nice to have some leftovers to munch on over the weekend, especially since we didn't have any groceries!  And we finally booked our tickets to Bali!!  Now we just have to decide when/where we want to go while we're there (ie, plan our trip itinerary) and book accommodation!

Yesterday I woke up early (boo), edited photos for the blog (this post as well as my Monthly Outfit Roundup) and then went for a run (about 5km).  Typically I have a strict no-working out on weekends (or more specifically, Sundays) policy but I really slacked off during the week and wanted to make up for it.  I haven't run in a long time and it was hot!  The first half of the run I felt great but the second half ... not so much! LOL

T went to Whistler yesterday so I took advantage of my alone time and went shopping!!  I said last week my budget is limited so I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go shopping ... but I figured I needed a dress and shoes to wear to the wedding in Bali and the sooner I get them, the better!  So I avoided the Aritzia Warehouse Sale and all the new fall clothes out and focused on the task at hand!  I am happy to say I was successful!  I am going to wear this dress from Aritzia and these sandals from Sam Edelman.  I bought tassel earrings (similar) from H&M but am not sure that they go with the outfit??  What jewelry do you think I should wear?

Today I am going to the beach to try and extend my summer tan just a little bit longer!

What are you all up to this long weekend?  Any fun plans?  Tell me in the comments below!
