Hi everyone!

I went to Banana Republic Factory a little while ago (there's one out by the airport now, yay!) and was so happy I found these two dresses!  I think they were under $20 each!!  Unfortunately they aren't online, but this olive green one from Urban Outfitters is a pretty close dupe for the first dress. The pink midi dress is a bit outside the box for me, (and I had a hard time finding something similar to link to for you, sorry!), but for the price I figured I could take the risk that I can't really wear it multiple ways, or in the winter!  Plus, pink is my favourite colour so I had heart eyes for it pretty much immediately :)

This black pleated midi skirt from J.Crew Factory is also a new purchase, after the popularity of my teal skirt (seen here and here).  It looks to be sold out but this one from Joe Fresh is super similar, and cheap, too!  I went for a larger size as the teal one is a little too small (and no elastic waist), but the fit is still not perfect :(  (For reference, the teal is a 2P and the black is a 4R).  I think a 4P might have been the perfect compromise?!

As always, thank you for reading!!

Hi everyone!  How are you?  What do you think of the product widgets I added to this post?  Is it something I should continue with?  I think it's good - I like that you can see the products and the prices.  This time I included the text links as well though I think that's a bit redundant moving forward.  Anyways, let me know what you think!  I am always trying to figure out what works best in this little space of mine :)

As always, thank you for reading!

Hi everyone!  How are you?

Right now we are watching Chef's Table Season 2, have you guys watched this Netflix series at all?  I find it so fascinating.  And also very inspiring.  Even if some of the chefs are a little out there, they all have a unique story and the show does a really good job of telling them.  If you are interested in art, food, or documentaries, I highly recommend you check it out!

On the weekend T and I got some home improvements done around the apartment ... it felt so good to finally get some things organized!  We also bought a few new plants and pots - I think we spent a few hours at Garden Works, lol.  T takes care of all of our plants which is so nice because I just have no idea!

The weekend was really nice in general.  Normally I work on Saturdays and have Mondays off so T and I only have Sunday together.  The gallery is closed on Saturdays in July so we actually get some 'real' weekends together!  I can't tell you how nice it was to have that extra day.  We went for a late brunch, saw a movie with friends (Nice Guys, with Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe - better than I expected), and then had the whole next day for our Ikea & garden store trip!

Anyways, onto the outfits.  The weather in June was really all over the place, even in the same day .. which makes it difficult to dress appropriately ... especially when you walk to and from work everyday!  (And typically I like to go for a walk on my lunch break, too).  The first dress is an old favourite from Forever 21.  I wish they still made dresses like this!  Maybe it's just me getting older, but I am liking their selection less and less these days.  Everything seems smaller, shorter, tighter.  But you can still find some gems (I got this top which is so cute!  I got to wear it once before *someone* accidentally shrunk it in the dryer :| ) and of course their statement necklace selection is still really good as well.  Simple outerwear (think army/utility jacket, cute but not practical rain jacket, faux leather moto jacket) is still good there too, I think.  Oh I also bought a nightie from there once (similar to this one) that I really like too (also, how cute is this one?) But dresses .... not so much :(

Also I found the perfect denim jacket from Gap.  You guys know I don't normally show outerwear, but my outfit with the striped top felt so plain without the jacket, so it was a win-win!  Last year I looked all over the place for a jean jacket, including Gap, but theirs was too boxy.  This year it fit just right and is a nice medium wash.  I think I tried it on in-store in like February or something and then ordered it online during a 40% off sale in March.  So good for spring, summer AND fall!

Thanks so much for visiting!!
