Sorry about the blurriness of some of these pics! It has been really dark some mornings which makes it difficult to get a good shot.
I am really loving two new additions to my closet - this floral long-sleeved dress from Old Navy and this pleated peplum top from Banana Republic. I ordered two more long-sleeved dresses from Old Navy (they were supposed to arrive on Friday!) and I really hope they work. I tried on the XS in-store and it was too roomy overall so hopefully the Petite XS fits! The floral dress above fit great in regular XS, btw :)
Halloween is coming up next weekend! I would love to hear if any of you are dressing up and what your costumes are! T and I don't have any plans for dressing up this year, but I am excited for our annual Stanley Park Ghost Train ride! If you haven't heard of it, check out their website here. It's not at all scary (it's really for kids) but I love going and T humours me :) I think we missed out last year, but the year before we went to Nook for dinner first and sat next to Jamie Dornan(!) and this year I think we'll go to The Flying Pig.
As you can see, I've been doing my nails more! Actually, I've been using Essie's Gel Couture line which claims "up to 14 days of luxurious wear and instant gel-like shine, no UV lamp needed." I have found I get about 4 days before chipping begins, but unlike regular polish, the chips are smaller and less noticeable. I think if I were better at painting the edges of my nails it would last even longer. I like how the formula is thicker and the brush is bigger. For the red colour I am wearing above, 2 coats is all that is necessary (I hate doing 3 coats!). I also have this creamy apricot colour called "Spool Me Over" which I really like (requires 3 coats). I think I will try "Touch Up" or "Take me to Thread" next. Have you tried Essie Gel Couture? What are your favourite colours?
