Hi everyone! How was your weekend? We just got back from Canadian Thanksgiving. Isn't the first day of work after always annoyingly tiring? Like why am I tired when I just had an extra day of rest?! Anyways. As I mentioned here, T and I went up to the Okanagan to visit my family for the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, my parents left for a month-long trip to Peru, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. I'm super excited for them ... and also a little jealous! We ate and drank a ton, learnt a new game (Guillotine - super easy and fun) and enjoyed our pre-bed dips in the hot tub :)
I wore the top from this post with my Old Navy Rockstar black jeans and Vince Camuto black leather flats to Thanksgiving dinner. The jeans are super stretchy and the peplum top helped to hide my turkey belly. My family is quite casual so there's no need to dress up too much! Simple jewelry (this necklace, + faux diamond studs) finished the look. I have gotten a lot better at packing smart for weekend trips I've noticed recently, really thinking about what activities I am going to be doing and planning actual outfits around that. Let me know if you'd be interested in a packing post!
As always, thank you for reading!

ReplyDeleteBoth of these outfits are simple and elegant Jules. I love that first combination very much. Tan and red are always winners together. And that maroon floral blouse is so pretty for the season. =)

Thanksgiving seems so long ago now that we are back on the hamster wheel. Love the casual outfits and I adore the blouse with the black pants, probably because I can see myself wearing it to the office. Thanks for the inspiration.
